Storm & hail damage

After the storm, start with the facts.

Wind and hail can leave obvious damage—or questions that are harder to answer from the ground. Start with a safe assessment and a clear record of what is found.

The short answer

What to know about
storm & hail damage.

A storm-damage roof assessment documents visible conditions and identifies repair or replacement needs. A contractor can explain the roofing scope; your insurer determines coverage under your policy.

01

Stay safe first

Observe from the ground. Avoid damaged areas, downed lines, and unstable surfaces. Do not climb onto the roof to collect photos. An active hazard needs appropriate emergency help.

02

Keep a clear record

Save the date of the storm, photos you can take safely, and any relevant repair records. Describe what changed and where water or damage has appeared.

03

Insurance claim assistance

Ask about roof-condition documentation and an itemized scope of roofing work. Nordic’s proposed role is to explain that work, not decide coverage, interpret your policy, or guarantee a claim outcome. Confirm the assistance available with the team.

Useful answers

Questions about your roof.

Good decisions start with clear information.

Ask about your roof
01Does hail always mean I need a new roof?

No. A roofing assessment is needed to determine the type and extent of damage. The appropriate scope depends on the findings and the condition of the roof.

02Can Nordic guarantee that insurance will pay?

No. Coverage and payment are determined by your insurer under your policy. A roofing estimate describes the proposed work; it is not a coverage decision.
